we have more from sarah simmons live at the pentagon. sarah? >> reporter: well, allison, some local law enforcement agencies around the country in places like los angeles and new york city have issued travel warnings, have beefed up security. they say out of an abundance of caution here. they have also issued travel warnings, the state department has, to people just out of concern for any kind of retaliation from al-qaeda over osama bin laden's death. now the u.s. officials have put all u.s. embassies on alert. the state department issued that travel warning, that worldwide travel warning after president obama gave his speech last night. specifically they are warning americans living or traveling abroad in areas that have been known to have anti-american violence in the past. as you know the bin laden compound was found in the middle of pakistan in an army town, a military analyst talked this morning about the security concerns that raises. >> we have a problem with pakistan. everybody is talking about it. this will highlight it. they've got to

and we get more now from fox 5's sarah simmons live at the pentagon memorial. sarah, good morning. >> reporter: good morning, allison. it was definitely quiet when we first got here this morning but we are starting to see people who are showing up, it looks like a school group that has just arrived since we have been here to take a look at the area. of course a lot of people we do expect that will be coming down here after word of osama bin laden's death but a lot of people that we have talked with already this morning say they know this is not an end to the terrorist threat we've been dealing. already this morning al-qaeda followers have been vowing revenge. we have increased security. here at home metro transit police are increasing security and beefing up officers, you may additional metro transit police at metro stops and some security increases that you may not see. the state department has also issued an alert for u.s. embassies and also worldwide travel as well for any folks that were alerted after president obama's speech last night of an enhanced potent

sarah simmons is following the situation from our news room. >> reporter: tony, we are getting our first insight on the type of data officials were able to recover this weekend in pakistan. counter terrorism officials say as of february 2010, terrorists discussed putting obstructions on tracks causing trains to fall off a track at a valley or bridge. al-qaeda planners said if they tilted the train, the plan what only succeed once because the tilting would be spotted the next time. the data is described as aspirational, meaning it doesn't appear there was a concrete plot in place. they believe the planning never got beyond the initial phase and have to recent intelligence pointing to an active plot for such an act. however as a precaution, homeland security is confirming, sending out a bulletin today, along with the fbi, to law enforcement across the country warning them to be on the lookout for clips or spikes missing from train tracks. also look out for packages on tracks or other suspicious changes. now other intelligence information gathered at the compound reveals a terrorist wish li
