attorney's office says this woman 73 year-old janice carlstrom of san jose stole money from the saratoga real estate companies office between 2014 2019 and use the money to pay off for personal credit cards and hers and her son's home loans when confronted with accounting irregularities in november. prosecutors say carlstrom set fire to papers under filing cabinet, broke her own nose and then tied herself up before firefighters and police arrived. if convicted she faces more than a year in prison. the san francisco police department is mourning the loss of the city's first black police chief earl sanders has passed away he joined the police department as a young army veteran back in 1964, he was also a founding member of officers for justice which in 1973 filed a discrimination suit against the police department he was the first officer to testify in federal court about the racism he endured in san francisco. all sanders was 83 years old. >>to county's district attorney's office says that the bart officer, the other one involved in the shooting death of oscar grant will not be charged. a
