who is a sort of down on her luck chorus girl and andrew is an out of working working the bar at sardisold the show didn't work, and it didn't because they're narcissists and ego maniacs. they think the only way to rescue their careers is to become activists. they say if we can find a story to piggy back on to we'll look great and people will like is again. so we hear a story about a girl in indiana who is told she is not allowed to attend her prom because she's gay and they decide we're going to go down there and raise holy hell and this will make people think we're good people. and from that point, it really becomes a very moving and uplifting story about acceptance, really, acceptance and who you love just shouldn't matter, you know, and that's really what the film is about. i'm very, very proud of it. i really am. >> stephen: this is certainly not the first musical you've done with meryl.
