"my card had been tried to be used at a walmart in new jersey for about a 192 dollars." an order at a jersey mcdonald's, too. the bank's fraud department suspected skimming. eugene thinks it happened with a card reader at a local gas station, which get gasoline at a local vendor, you expect to be able to trust the system." here's how skimming works. thieves put a device, like this, over a card reader. when a user puts in a card, the skimmer steals the info. it gets worse-- some thieves also use tiny cameras and fake key pads to nab pin numbers, too. the bad guys can then make a duplicate card and go shopping w
