murder in the deaths of savvas savopoulos, his wife amy their 10-year-old son philip and the family's housekeeper vera figueroa. it was one week ago today that firefighters came to this mansion on woodland drive in a tony section of northwest washington. there they found the bodies of four victims. they had been tied up, beaten stabbed and held captive here for almost a day. the fire set to conceal the crime and destroy the evidence.suspect/victim connection. >> we do believe that there is a connection between this suspect in this case through the business. >> reporter: the connection. police believe that suspect wint once worked for american iron works on kinl worth avenue in prince george's county maryland, a company owned by savvas savopoulos. sources say wint worked there from 2003 to 2005 and sources say he had a relative who was fired from that company some time ago.

news tonight the court records show amy and savvas savopoulos their son phillip and the housekeeper vera figueroa were held against their will by mr. wint and others from 6:00 p.m. wednesday may 13 through the afternoon hours on may 14. when firefighters were called to the home. we learned from the court records mr. and mrs. savapoulos and figueroa in an upstairs bedroom. phillip in an adjacent bedroom. they claim that savapoulos were found in the same room as the adults. pizza was delivered to the home wednesday night. investigators linked wint to the crime and the d.n.a. on the pizza. court documents allege 30 may 14 $40,000 delivered to the savapoulos home by an employee of mr. savapoulos. in the affidavit it claims the employee didn't originally tell the truth about the money which witnesses told authorities was left inside a car at the savapoulos garage. the money was never found in the garage or in the home. we learned in court the prosecutors would like finger prints from daron wint to compare it against a print found on a water bottle they say inside the savapoulos home. now we k

the source says on thursday morning, savvas savopoulos called his office and had an assistant bring $40,000 in cash to his home on woodland drive. savopoulos, this money drop is said to have happened thursday morning. hours after the family was taken captive. it was thursday afternoon that savvas savopoulos his wife his 10-year-old son and the family housekeeper were found murdered inside the house. >> all units operating with the battalions use caution. this is a crime scene. >> reporter: a fire started there in an apparent effort to cover up the crime and destroy evidence. on that same day, a car stolen from the family found torched in prince george's county. a security camera caught a potential suspect leaving the scene. sources say investigators believe it is likely more than one suspect is involved in this horrific murder case. sources say investigators believe the home may have been targeted by someone familiar with the lifestyle of the savopoulos family. now yesterday, investigators showed pictures of the safety vest to people near the vest where that car was dumped. sources say mr.

investigators were here over the weekend once again continuing to pull out evidence from savvas savopoulos where he, his wife, their 10-year-old son and housekeeper were held captive. police are convinced daron wind did not act alone. police have confirmed men and women taken into custody when wind was arrested were questioned and then released but that doesn't mean police won't bring them in again with more questions. this is all part of their investigation and of course as police continue to build their case. police also have questions for the assistant who delivered $4,000 in cash here while the family was being held. those familiar with the case say he has been a bit inconsistent with what he says happened that day. now as far as motive goes, police say it was motivated by money, but they also say, yes, this was somewhat of an inside job meaning wind was a former employee of the savopoulos family but d.c. prosecutor spoke to us about the case. she says it goes much further than that. >> there had to be some connection because wind worked there ten years -- wint worked there ten years a
