overturn crash sb 17 at hwy 9.darya) repair work is underway this morning after cal-trans discovered 200- potentially weak tiles on the bay bridge east tunnel at yerba buena island. the faulty tiles were found during a recent inspection of the 80- year old section of the tunnel. last year, a tile flew off and hit a car that was driving through the tunnel. the woman driving the car was not injured, but said it was terrifying. caltrans says it will be doing the repairs during off commute hours and they should be finished by june.
