the culure of massachusetts may be very sceptical for the use of the death penalty and for religious and other reasons, and many are against it and you can look at the polling. and the law is this is a federal prosecution of terrorism and a federal law allows for the death penalty and every juror on this trial has already been pre-screened during the early questioning, the voir dire process over whether they are willing to properly apply it. and if they are not and one of the many massachusetts residents or pollsters or otherwise against it categorically, they would be screened out of the jury. and that is what the law, in this case federal law, does to govern the cultural questions they have -- we are seeing more folks just walking out and seeing them walk out and walking by the local security. but to your question thomas about the death penalty here anyone who has categorically against it regardless of the facts of the case would have under the law been prescreened out. so these jurors have the pablt of -- the possibility of applying it as early as next week according to the judge.
