this is the telephone log for december 7 1941 from schofield barracks and the first reports of japanese paratroopers landing at the airfield comes in n about 10:00 and by noon they're getting reports there are japanese landing on the beaches . a lot of these are coming from 11:40, paratrooper troops are identified wearing blue coveralls with a red disk. many of these are coming from civilian police. could avbe airmen coming in but there are a lot of these reports and all of a sudden you've got this, these blue coveralls and red discs showing up all over the place almost like these guys from mars landing all over the beaches but there really was this sense that they were coming ashore and at the end of the day you got everybody out there with their springfield's laying on the beach is waiting to repel the invasion. understanding it's a zero-sum but what if they did decide to land on a lot and follow-up with some kind of a tape, could they have held it ? if they decide to do that. that's a major change but could they have done something like that at a lot who? >> i'm going to try my opini
