i did trimesters in high school. my junior year of high school in washington state, and it was great to pack it all in. i moved to san francisco my senior year, and i had all of my credits from so many classes, i only needed two courses my senior year. i'm a real proent, a real advocate for trimesters, especially with middle schoolers, because kind of the short attention span and just the ability to do a lot of different things over a short period of time, so i do hope we lean towards that. my only concern with that is when they go into high school, just how different it is to go from trimester to a semester. it's a very different transition. i've even heard that in college, you know, when kids are on semester versus quarter, just how different it is, and the amount of time they have to really dive in deep and do work, and the length of time that the course work lasts. so but i love the idea that we're thinking about implementing trimesters. everything else, to me, looked really great. i'm excited about the way in wh

school. i talk a lot in the book about trackusing on freshmen on because the data shows when freshmen do well, go to school, past their classes, they have a higher likelihood of graduating from high school and being really focused on that, focused on individual students and what their needs are has seen on track rates and graduation rates go up significantly. growing up in chicago if my friends dropped out it was not great but it was not the end of the world and they could get jobs in the stockyards and steel mills and make a good living and support the family. we know those jobs are gone and never coming back. the goal can't be high school graduation. there's got to be some form of education beyond that. trade,ar universities, technical vocational training. if we could do that for every child, we open up a new world of opportunity for them. if we don't, the limits get pretty severe on what they can do. host: dennis, go ahead. duncan, in myary family we have a tradition to go to religious sch

the data is more accurate for middle school and high school. i don't think we really can't compare and say we are almost at the 1719 mark. it was not anywhere near accurate. that being said, i think that the past couple years, the day to be more accurate and us showing an increase. so we have, you know, these we need to have some individual conversations with several of the schools that we see things happening with, you know? i could bring up some examples, you know, where we are looking at bay since and looking at the interventions and we see other punitive measures and not one intervention. that's a conversation we need to have with the school. i'm not calling out any particular schools, but interventions going down at the elementary school level is increasing quite a bit. using base is quite a bit to record exactly what you are doing. not so much later on. we see students coming in, and thomas can speak to this too. one of the things for instance he mentions the other day. it was in reference to something else, but we were noticing for afric
