tracy schrader sends us beautiful pictures. an interesting day to day that started sunny and the low temperature of 28 at o'hare and then up to the 40's and increasing clouds and warmer air of making its way into the area. of course the typhoon continues. no longer super typhoon, and now a typhoon headed for vietnam. it will be weeks to assess the damage in the philippines and to assess the damage. one way to think about this storm is, it's like taking the moore oklahoma tornado had sending it over an area and not just four minutes like a tornado would but four hours on and. this has 186 mi. per hour winds up to more than 200 mi. per hour. this is what has gone on in the philippines and what you do not factor in with a tornado is 17 ft. of water coming into an area where the sea level is just 10 ft.. there is the storm on the vietnam coast and it weekends and goes into laos. they have more trouble from that typhoon in southeast asia. meanwhile for us it is windy at warmer and the high temperature will be out by 10 degrees. wind

schrader. you.ank i appreciate the opportunity to be a part of this conference. as a relatively new member, we make up one third of the house of representatives these days, my experience in the committee in the last congress and this congress was unequivocally the high point of my service here. the way that we worked together, the difference we show each the respect we showed each other was emblematic of what i thought we signed up for when i became a member of congress. i would like us to remember that. there are a lot of ways to get divided here. we agreed on a number of ways that our colleagues have alluded to. conservation programs, modernization before history, you know there is a whole host of things that i think we could agree on. we should emphasize, though, there are still some big issues to come, we are modernizing american daily pop -- dairy policy. there is some concern about it being an open-ended draw at taxpayer expense and i expect this move to deal with that issue. we have the same discussion going on, frankly, with some of our nutrition programs
