this is 18-year-old ezra schwartz. he was studying in israel when that deadly shooting happened. >> let's get right over to adam williams at the breaking news desk with more. reporter: we're told the 18-year-old was in israel studying during a gap year between high school and college. schwartz was a graduate of the school in brookline, grew up in sharon. he was a long time camper and counselor at a jewish summer camp in northwood, new hampshire. he was killed in the north bank when a palestinian opened fire on several cars stuck in traffic. he and two others were killed.

glenn "hurricane" schwartz is tracking the rain. >> glenn, when will the first raindrops hit our region? >> it's going to hit portions of delaware first and eventually move through much of the rest of the area. right now it is dry, the roads are on the dry side even though we're seeing some radar echoes in the vicinity, a lot of this not reaching the ground, but central and southern delaware we're getting a little stronger returns so we could actually see a bit of rain reaching the ground during the next hour or two, and even up farther to the north. the atmosphere continues to get more and more moist as everything is moving from west to east, so the moisture from west virginia and virginia continues to move this way. this is mostly light rain we're talking about for tonight. future cast shows by 8:00 some patchy light rain, especially in delaware, extreme south jersey, but by later this evening, 9:00, 10:00, it's becoming more widespread and should be raining for much of the night tonight. look at this, by midnight practically everybody is seeing rain. we're seeing it for the morning r

glenn "hurricane" schwartz is here with that forecast. hey, glenn. >>> vai, yes, the wind is blowing here. we even have wake caps on lake wallenpaupack in the pocono mountains. it hasn't started bringing in the cold air yet but that is going to be happening by tonight. we're 59 degrees. already a little higher than the average high temperature for this time of the year but it won't warm up much beyond this. 54 in reading and lancaster. the wind is out of the west and it's pretty strong. these are the sustained winds. 29 mile an hour sustained winds in lancaster. we're seeing gusts up near 40 miles an hour. as we go in through the evening. look at what's going to happen. we'll be start to calculate the windchills. down to 39 degrees in reading by 7:00 tonight so if you're headed out this evening, take the heavier coat but it's not going to feel anything like it feels right now. and by 11:00, it's feeling like it's in the 30s across most of the area and down to freezing in reading. look at this. we have some windchills down into the upper 2

nbc 10 first alert chief meteorologist glenn "hurricane" schwartz here with the forecast. you can't beat a rainbow like that. >> it's beautiful once you start to see a little bit of sunshine at the end of the showers. now, those showers are pretty much moved out but we still have a lot of clouds around. this is the pocono mountains. you can see the showers moving towards new york city but there are more in southern delaware and even more in eastern virginia. moving in the general direction of delaware and south jersey. so that's where the best chance of any rain is. these the reporting stations. everybody is reporting cloudy skies but none of them are reporting rain at this hour. so things have dried out, at least temporarily, in delaware and south jersey and we might not see any more rain in pennsylvania counties for the rest of the day. we're already up to 70 in millville and atlantic city international. even with all those clouds, 66 in philadelphia. the average high is 60. so even with the early rain and cloud cover we're likely to get to at least near 70 degrees. you

let's bring in first alert chief meteorologist glenn "hurricane" schwartz. the wind is really picking up out there, glenn. >> yeah, it was gusting up near 40 miles an hour today and we still have at least decent wind, although it's not quite as windy as it was a few hours ago. and the wind is going to pick back up tomorrow and continue to feed in colder and colder air. we're down to 56 in philadelphia, 53 in wilmington. we've got up to 59 and now it's gone down. it's 50 degrees in many of the northern and western areas and will continue to drop. at least the wind gusts have dropped somewhat. 24 miles an hour in lancaster, 29 miles an hour in mount pocono. they did gust up to 40 miles an hour earlier. you can see on the future cast we have temperatures going well down in to the lower 40s and still decent wind, even at 1:00 in the morning, so that's creating the wind chill that's going to feel like it in the 30s in philadelphia and 20st in some of the suburbs by morning. we'll see when it warms up, and it will, in the seven day in a few minutes. >> thank you,
