. >>> more scientology news making the skinny this week with tom cruise, specifically.new article out in "the new yorker" in which paul haggis, 34 years as a scientologist, very well known director and screenwriter, now he's kind of spilling the secrets on the church in this lengthy feature in "the new yorker" and basically as a result of this, the fbi is now investigating the church for using free labor and for human trafficking. they're saying primarily the labor was used to kind of support mega star tom cruise, customization of a building, rebuild motorcycles, fixing boats, doing all tom's dirty work for like 50 bucks a week, for pennies on the dollar here. they say the head of the church himself who lives a lavish lifestyle, chartered jets, cars, custom made shoes, the chefs, the whole nine. so weird charges of human trafficking and labor based on this article. the feds are looking into it and basically all this was going to support the mundane work of tom cruise. we'll see where that investigation goes. weird story. >>> another weird one. if you heard of the plus-s

first, confronting an undermining of the scientology, whether they are violent in their means or not, it must make it impossible for the extremists to succeed and to do this we must ban preachers of hate from coming to our countries. we must also prescribe organizations that insight terrorism against people at home and abroad. governments must be shrewd in dealing with those where we are non-violent or some cases the problem. we need to think harder about who is in the public interest to work with. some seek to present themselves as a gateway to the muslim community despite doing little to combat extremism. as others have observed this is turning to the sort of more right wing fascists violent white supremacist movement we should judge these organizations. do they believe in universal human rights and people of other faiths? do they believe in equality of all and democracy and people to elect their own government and encourage subornation? these are the sort of questions we need to asked and the presumption should be not to engage with these organizations. mo sharing at home. the same
