scotland yard believe a raid last night thwarted an active terror plot.to dr evanjean lawrence — an expert in counter terrorism and security — who joins us from our news room in salford. thank you for being with us. we hear daily arrests being made, according to the police. we have covered these two particular events. people start to think it is a growing trend. is itfairto to think it is a growing trend. is it fair to say that? this is something that has been happening fairly consistently throughout the past couple of years. the difference is that we don't hear about it as often. when things go right we rarely hear about them. only when there are problems does the public generally become aware of something like this. what we are getting a sense with both the arrests today and yesterday is how much surveillance must be going on. absolutely does that there is something like 3000 people on the watch list. i think what we have to realise is that the police cannot watch them all, all the time. they have to prioritise those threats. they clearly do a good job
