intelligence committee chairman adam schiff claiming there is direct evidence of russian collusion with the trump campaign during the 2016 presidential race. good evening, i'm jon scott report." it's the bottom of the hour, and if you're just joining us, michael cohen testifying before congress for three days last week, and he is expected to testify again this week. his testimony leading house democrats to look into president trump's business and charity. this while the ongoing mueller investigation is reportedly nearing its end. joining us now, john fund, columnist for "national review" magazine. so what do you think about what adam schiff has to say there? he says he believes there is direct evidence and, in his view, circumstantial evidence. what do you think? >> we've known about that meeting for over a year. it was a meeting set up by an agent of the russian government. she basically bluffed her way into the trump tower to talk about dirt that she supposedly had on hillary clinton. it was an ill-advised meeting, they shouldn't have taken it. it turned out she had nothing, the meeting ended. there's no evidence that anything illegal or dramatic came out of that.
