scott fulman and scott bauer. do you agree with what powell had to say? we now know it appears the white house has announced it's done. it's leaving the stimulus negotiations now to congress so no more steven mnuchin of the treasury department negotiating in late night calls to nancy pelosi. hands off now from the president of the united states on stimulus. what do you think? are we ever going to see something and is the second wave market reaction overblown right now? >> first, i think powell is 1,000% right. the market before the election, the market was waiting, listening to every sound bite out of washington, waiting for news on a stimulus package. actually, we believe that the market had a priority list of what it was looking at. it was looking at first the coronavirus itself. then it was looking at the stimulus package. after that, it was trying to judge the economy, where it is now, where it's going, going forward. that leads to corporate earnings and the election was last. as we saw this past week, after the election, the market was looking higher

. >> next is scott bauer. >> x for doing this call. can you talk to me a little bit about provisional ballots? do we have an idea of how many are out there? if not, can you give us some historical perspective on how many we should assume are out there? >> thanks so much for that question. that is another thing. thank you for bringing up provisional ballots. provisional ballots, if somebody had a photo id yesterday, they are able to cast a provisional ballot under law. they have until friday at 4:00 p.m. to bring in their ballot and photo id and still have that ballot counted. historically, we have very few provisionals that are cast in the state of wisconsin. i know today, our local election officials are getting that information into the system. posting the number of outstanding provisionals. but if we look back historically, i believe it's been fewer than 1000 and eight general election that were issued. we don't have the official numbers yet. if we look back historically, i believe it has been fewer than 1000 in a general election o

scott bauer's associated press. pennsylvania capital bureau. w ral tv in raleigh carolina.to work. good to see you. thanks for being here. i want to start with you because there is a lot of folks in pennsylvania. if you look at the politics average of polls, it's getting narrow. it's biden by 2.9. if you look back at 2016, this was clinton by 1.9 heading into election day. what is it like on the ground there? >> it's a very close race. that is eminent pretty much everywhere you go. i'm actually watching the margins of the red counties right now. democrats for decades were able to win pennsylvania by winning philadelphia, pittsburgh, and the philadelphia suburb. president trump turned that campaign strategy on its head in 2016. he took the margins so hot in the red county, the democrats couldn't make up the difference. >> bret: so, we only know the ballots out were requested, right? we don't have a sense of the party breakdown or what came back in. >> sure, about 3 million ballots have been requested. about 2 million have been overturned. a large turnout of republican voters

jon corpina, scott bauer, you guys get to be here with us as the dow is hovering above -- 30 points above 30,000. jon, you are allowed to pick one of those choices. a mix of two but not all of the above. is there one thing or two things in particular that are powering this rally in this final hour of trade? >> so if you are going to force me to pick two, i'm going to go with vaccination and putting the political -- the presidential election behind us. we are not sure what the biden administration is going to look like going forward but at this point, those two things i just mentioned were two things we had on our calendar. we knew the presidential election was coming at a certain date and we were going to get results from that, albeit a little later than we envisioned. and vaccinations. we knew a positive vaccination headline was going to hit our tape. when, we didn't know. but once we got one, now we've gotten two, three, four. those headlines are bringing that light at the end of the tunnel closer to us. that's why we are seeing improvement in airline stocks, in travel stocks, in cruise
