we heard from florida governor rick scott. blake joins us from miami. blake, what's it like down there? >> reporter: stephanie, the biggest concern here in miami is twofold. one, the storm surge that would come with this. because of that they're closing all the beaches here starting tomorrow night to keep people away from the water. and then the other big concern as you heard the governor mention is power outages. the problem is once a tree knocks over a power line in the middle of a storm like this, they can't just go out and fix it in the middle of the storm. he's warning that when you have winds of anywhere over 35 miles an hour they can't take those bucket trucks out to fix the power lines so you could see prolonged power outages which we have seen have caused deaths in the past because people are stuck in their homes without power and that could happen for days. so that's why the governor and the mayor here in miami have been warning people to stock up, do not take this storm lightly. just because it's not making a direct hit on miami doesn't mean w
