scott griffin. it's good to have you with us tonight. may i ask you, do we have any evidence that russian forces are targeting journalists in ukraine? well, we don't have independent confirmation that we have obviously the statements by the ukrainian authorities. and certainly that is a plausible explanation of what happened given. we know that russia is targeting civilians, a new crane, so that is obviously possible, but we don't have certainty about what happened in that instance. what we do know for sure is that under international humanitarian law, journalists are civilians and civilians are never acceptable targets. in a conflict, and so this would be a crime and our position that obviously idea that this needs to be investigated and those responsible whether that ultimately is rational forces or somebody else needs to be held responsible. so it's also worth mentioning, this is the 1st of the foreign journalists in ukraine, but not the 1st debt as a media worker, actually, during the russian shelling of the television tower and have
