what does scott halls deal with prosecutors? what's the deal with trump? l with prosecutors is interesting because he touches so many of the facets of the overlapping schemes to overturn the 2020 election. i think's largest value, however, is in the fact that in charges against him are fairly overlapping with the charges against former trump attorney sydney powell. sydney powell had a lot to say -- election equipment with particularly head-scratching about that is that the break-ins happened after january 6th and in some cases after the transfer of power to joe biden. suggesting that what they were really trying to do was figure out how the voting machines worked so they could continue to contest the legitimacy of the election including arizona where audits took place. also scott hall had contact with other people including jeff clark who had a 63 minute phone call on january 2nd. that will also be of interest prosecutors, and as part of his plea, he has vowed that he will fully cooperate with prosecutors including testifying. it's bad news for sydney powel

under the terms of a deal with prosecutors, scott hall agreed to testify against the 18 others accusedr president. the trial of two other defendants, including a former lawyer for mr trump, is due to begin in october. here in the uk, police have now named the two people who died in a school bus crash in merseyside yesterday. police say 15—year—old jessica baker and the coach driver, 40—year—old stephen shrimpton, both died in the incident when the vehicle overturned on the m53 in the wirral. a 14—year—old boy is still in hospital with life—changing injuries. 0ur correspondent, yunus mulla, reports. jessica baker, 15 years old and one of the schoolchildren on the bus who was killed in the crash. today, flowers were left outside the school entrance. 0ne message simply read, "sorry to see you go. "thoughts with the family." the school has opened this weekend and children have been arriving with their parents, carrying flowers. they've been comforted by staff. the school is offering specialist trauma support. the driver, who was also killed, has been officially named as stephen shrimpton.

the first guilty plea in the florida election sub version case tonight is from the bail bondsman scott hall who has flipped and will testify in any future hearings on trials. what does that mean for trump or other co-defendants like sidney powell? help us put this in context. >> it's interesting when you look at this guilty plea, remember that mr. hall was charged with the grandest election stealing effort in the history of the world basically and now they've come down to five misdemeanor charges and no jail time. it doesn't even lose his right to vote because he won't be a convicted felon. so if is curious to me why the government needed him and the state wanted to use him in this way. i know part of his plea deal is he will cooperate and give truthful testimony. it may be important in the powell case and may not be. we just don't know yet the depth w of what he knows and may have told investigators. there are benefits to him. he is a bail bondsman in georgia. if you have a felony conviction you cannot be a bail bondman so he'd have lost his ability to make a living in that way. i am not s

scott hall today agreed to take a deal with prosecutors. pleaded guilty to five counts in the case. nick valencia is joining us live. what exactly is hull admitting that he did? >> reporter: he is the former bail bonds man who was accused of itllegally going in a restricted area as part of the scheme to prove that there was widespread voter fraud in georgia. and just a moment ago in an impromptu hearing, he entered this guilty plea admitting that there was a factual basis for the charges against him. he admitted to five counts. he was charged with seven. he admitted to five. all of them are misdemeanors, each carries 12 months of probation. so he will be on five months of probation as well as face $5,000 fine. there is also several other conditions as part of this, he won't be allowed to communicate with other defendants, that is part of it. he will have to write a letter of apology and as well as 200 hours of community service. but this is very big news for a case that we've been watching closely the last several months. this is the first person to turn himself into the fulton coun

surprise plea taking yesterday afternoon, and over on the docket, scott hall, one of the 18 codefendantsld trump took a plea, five misdemeanor counts. five years of probation. this testifying truthfully, and special condition of his probation, what does it mean to you? >> yes, this is a significant moment because oftentimes, when you see one defendant pleaded guilty, the dominoes begin to fall because it causes the other defendants to think idea to get on the door to, because the deals don't get better as time goes on, they typically get worse. if you want this, deal we need to get it on it now. this may precipitate other guilty pleas. the other thing i think a significant is he has agreed to cooperate, in, fact, he even has the statement to prosecutors before the guilty plea. one of the things he's alleged to have done is to have 63 minute phone conversation with jeffrey clark, the former doj official, on january 2nd of 2021. that is right in that time when all of that craziness is going on inside the oj. so he potentially has some really explosive testimony to provide in this case. >>
