katherine scott reports from hamilton township. >> neighbors say they did not hear anything out of the ordinary it wasn't until they looked out their windows and saw police cars lined up they knew something wrong. east north avenue was closed up. 50-year-old

katherine scott joins us live in the neighborhood hamilton township mercer county. katherine, the crime scene tape lines the street. >> reporter: so far police have not released details about what happened overnight, as you mentioned the road remains across thed off. in the last 15 minutes or so, we saw more investigators show up here, they have been going in and out of the home on gensee street east park avenue hamilton township, as they continue to investigate and process the crime scene. a number of police vehicles remain on the scene. this happened around midnight. hamilton police responded and started looking for evidence. they continue to do that now. what led up to the homicide is unclear. there's no word on the motive or if they know who was behind this. there are businesses nearby, police have not said if they are looking for surveillance footage to help in the investigation. at this point the identity of the victim has not been released. of course this is a breaking story, we'll let you know if any new details emerge. live in hamilton township, katherine s

katherine scott reports from hamilton township. >> neighbors say they did not hear anything out of the ordinary it wasn't until they looked out their windows and saw police cars lined up they knew something wrong. east north avenue was closed up. 50-year-old calvin was shot to death in what they believe was an accident. a car was towed from the driveway this morning. investigators say shortly before 11:00 p.m. a 911 call came in from the woman saying she shot and intruder and then that she shot her friend. watson says he was returning from a trip and was not in the immediate area, they think he was trying to surprise her, as she continued to talk to him on the phone she heard a dash barking and noises outside. when the noises continued she got her gun and heard someone inside and walked to the bedroom door still on the phone and when she opened door said she saw a shadow in the dark and the stairs and fired one gunshot. he was lying on the stairs shot in the chest and was pronounced dead on the scene. so far no charges are filed. at this time, mercer county detectives continue to inves

. >> on the scene of a homicide in hamilton township mercer county. katherine scott live from genesee street. >> reporter: it's early in the investigation, police have not released details about what happened overnight. this happened around midnight. you can see at the hour, genesee street in hamilton township is closed off. there are multiple police on the scene. hamilton police responded and looked for evidence. what led up to the homicide is unclear. there's no word as to the motive or if they know who is behind the homicide. so far police have not said if they found nearby surveillance video helpful in the investigation. they remain on the scene at this hour. the identity of the victim has not been released stay with "action news" as we continue to follow the breaking story out of ham to know -- hammonton township. >> a house in north philadelphia was shot up with three women inside sleeping. investigators found 11 shell casings on the 2700 block of west silver street. none of the people inside were injured. police are searching for the shooter. >>> two people ar
