ask scott horton is a director of the libertarian institute the editorial director of antiwar.com. and the author of this book, and enough already time to end the war on terrorism. mr. horton, it is 20 years since 9/11. and u.s. troops in afghanistan, what is your reflection on that? speak to a sparsely war in afghanistan goes, we never should have thought of her the whole war on terrorism could have been over by christmas 2001 at the w bushch had focused ther efforts on either the extradition of allocated to america or another friendly country or on targeting the gilts in the very small number of al qaeda fighters hiding out in afghanistan. instead he wrote for regime change that did not attack us on then to wageus a 20 year war against all of its enemies in attempt to prop that new government up. and now for 20 years they have admitted what is been true for at least ten which is that the war is a loss the taliban has one. they never could have won that war. andd now the proof is in the putting that the critics were right all along and the proponents were wrong. >> 20 years later

jessa jessica tarlov and scott horton he is there. even if we're smack dab in middle of a recession, let's say in the string, do you think that white house will continue to change the definition of words like recession? >> this is what happens when you think you can rely on media to pump out the party line for you. you get this arrogance he can appear dismissive that i think is hurting him. with voters because, they don't see he is taking it seriously, they see him changing definition of recession and getting mad at media whenever they ask any questions about this. if we go to a recession they will get worse for american families who are already struggling with the inflation, they have tighter budgets. what happens if in a recession a lot of us lose our jobs, we don't have a lot of savings this is eating to a lot of american savings. this situation could get worse. they seem to rely on media to carry their water. kennedy: savings in last two years down 83%. a lot of americans most, majority don't have a cushion if something bad happen

john gabriel, richard fowler and scott horton.o hear a little bit of peats talk from our diplomats, john. do you think that's missing in this conversation? >> it's completely missing. and i think elon's plan, i think, is naive, it wouldn't work. but i think somebody's offering some kind of ideas about, hey, maybe we should stop watching, you know, hundreds of thousands of people are risk their lives and soldiers and civilians on both sides getting killed. maybe we could have peace. that might be a nice idea. and for a diplomat in ukraine to be dropping f-bombs at him and the president to say, basically, he's stalin 2.0, it's crazy. guy gave you free internet. it's better quality internet than i have at home, and you don't have to pay. but i think anybody with more than three brain cells wants peace in the situation, but instead it's just this crazy battle cry that we hear from kind of our ruling class, media class, all these people. it's really bizarre to watch. kennedy: do you think this is an insane idea, richard? >> listen, i w
