scott martin, fox news contributor. john petrides, point view wealth management and scott wren from wells fargo are all with us. scott, let me start with you, what do you think of the downgrade? >> not surprising. take downgrades for what they are, which isn't terribly much. some years ago, u.s. got downgraded and our debt was downgraded and our debt wept up in value. these rating agencies totally blew the financial crisis in 2008. to me i don't think really that is what market reaction is to. if you look financials and other things that tend to be rating agency related to me that it is yield curve. that interest rates around the world are negative or going down and that is bad for banks. melissa: john what do you think? in all this i think there is opportunity. when i look at currencies, wow, there has to be a big opportunity there? >> this may be contrarian to say, investors should embrace the "brexit" vote because it helped push reset button on market had been a nice trajectory upward since mid-february. you get reset

here scott martin, united advisors chief market strategist and fox news contributor. john lonski, moody's chief economist. scott, i get the sense traders are kind of poised right before the 8:30 employment report comes out. could there be dramatic moves in the market whether we're ahead or behind in the jobs number? >> i would expect them, david. i think poised is a good word to use and i would argue poised to the upside. we've seen some pretty good late-day rallies this week which tells me traders and investors are building their long positions into this number. here is what i think will happen. i think you'll get okay number, say range of 175-k added for me. this still keeps the fed possibly on the sidelines ahead of the "brexit" vote and just what after the ecb did, meaning more stimulus, more low interest rates. that is what the stock market wants to see. david: john, 175,000 jobs expected that seems so low to me compared to where we should be yet the president is saying everything is great to the economy. which you say? >> oy, the economy is not doing so great. lo

we bring in our panel of scott martin, a fox news contributor and john patridis of wealth management. scott, the vote in the u.k. how the u.k. leaving the eu, why is that such a big deal for us here? what's the financial impact of your view of it? >> i think it just signifies more the destabiling effect that a brexit would have on the overall idea of the european union. i get your point. i think it is funny that here we are a day before the fed decision and a week before the britain vote, and now the market's freaking out. this kind of stuff to me was evident weeks ago and the market was whistling by the graveyard. >> something else going on here? >> i don't think so. i think as an investor you've got to stay nimble and trades you are confident in. bonds, i like long bonds and call me gold member, i love gold. i think gold is the place to be if you want to hedge bonds and stocks. >> wouldn't be the first thing i call you, but certainly on the list. john, let me ask you about what scott praut up which is lower interest rates. that's another one of the big headlines today, right? we wak

scott martin is here and fox news contributor. we are aaron gribbs of s&p advisory services. aaron, talk about the roller coaster. what is your impression of a lot of gains being given back in the last hour? >> i think, you know, really about the risk on, risk off, added volatility, taking some of that back off the table when people realized it was just a lot of euphoria. and also just unwinding of those trades. so, you know, for us, i think a lot of people have really expected this, in the long term. we've seen a lot of comments. we've seen also, if you look at some gambling sites, it has been more like 60% where people think they are going to stay in. i think most investors have been expecting this and you're just seeing someme intraday volatiliy flush out as we go through the day. melissa: scott, give me your take. is that your impression? do you think it was driven by technology? what is the deal here? >> it was pretty wild. a lot of buying started overnight and we kind of faded as more investors came to the table. i think david made the point of the day. gold was down a

here with analysis, retail analyst, "wall street journal" reporter, shell by holiday and scott martin and jonas ferris. so, are you worried? >> i am extremely worried about this whole thing. i think what is happening is dismal and to say the least and i think what's really happening, you have to think about the affiliate corporate profits that's happening in the investment in the uk and in europe. it's about 9% of global corporate profits. $153 billion. that's the type of money they're going to be losing. i know the argument is that we're going to get even more profits coming into the uk because they're not going to be paying that tax going into the eu, but that's not going to cut it. especially for us here in united states. >> scott, would companies lose money, they often fire workers. is that going to happen? >> david, i think it's coming and let's take that whole issue with revenues further. when you go overseas and sell a good, if you're a u.s. company, you sell it in that local currency. whether it's say the pound sterling in the uk, the ur o in the ur ozone. when that economy we

to scott martin on what is really best for business and for americans. know that it's a very simple cut and dry issue although i got into it big time with the chamber of commerce donahue a couple weeks ago because i do think that their interests often is not the same as main street. >> no, their interests is government. i think the thing that is underestimated with donald trump's candidacy, charles, is that private sector experience. i mean you can cut it pretty dryly. do you believe that the government should be responsible for economic growth, for creating of jobs, for creating of wealth? i personally don't. so therefore you want somebody in government that has that private sector experience, that has job creating experience and has the ability to lower the regulations, increase the ingenuity of business and that is what will create long-term capitalist growth we want here. charles: there are certain other dynamics with trade and things that go beyond, that, manufacturing for instance, that go beyond trade. how do we reconcile the fact that the next 10
