i'm scott mcgrew. >> and i'm kris sanchez. the story we've been following all morning long. police worked for hours to purr suede that man to come down from the high-rise construction crain. just one the last hour success. >> damian trujillo has been out there all morning, and has how it all came to an end. >> reporter: it's been quite a morning. is the man came down from the crain, but he kept police at bay for roughly 14 hours. the suspect did come down on his own, then placed in handcuffs and put in the back of a patrol car. earlier today, the man climbed out of the cabin and walked the arm of the crain, which is quite dangerous, then went back inside, put his feet up smoked a cigarette and read appeared to be the crain's manual. he had been yelling, talking to police negotiators, but it's difficult to make out what he was saying. because of the this whole ordeal, the job site has been closed for the day. about 100 workers are out of a job for today. some say thee losing between $100 and $250 a day, and at one point some of them nfl offered to go get the mandan. >> it was

i'm scott mcgrew. the hunt for a suspected north bay arsonist is over.ant. police have released a new video to help crack a string of package thefts in fremont. since april the same group has been stealing packages off people's porches. in two cases men were caught on private surveillance video. the first showing a goateed man walking up and swiping a package. the second a man driving up getting out taking that parcel. police believe these and several other cases are connected. >>> well let's check your weather this morning. >> good morning. i'm meteorologist kari hall. today in the bay we start out with patchy fog and drizzle in spots, but it clears out quickly and we're getting ready for a hot, dry and sunny afternoon. by lunchtime we're already up to 73 degrees in the peninsula. and san francisco little bit more sunshine 67 degrees. east bay 67 69 degrees there as we go into the drive home we continue to see those temperatures rising up to 84 degrees for the south bay. north bay 86 degrees. and the tri-valley reaching 93 degrees. >> man over 90 again.
