scott mcgrew, poor people leaving the bay area. >> they are, laura. let's keep in mind poor is a relative term. the magic number here seems to be $150,000 a year. joint venture silicon valley took a look at the numbers and found there are more and more households bringing in $150,000 or more, but those who don't make that much are moving out of the bay area. joint venture said last year 14,000 silicon valley households -- 17,000, correction, who are under the magic number of $150,000 left. another 16,000 in the east bay left because they were not making $150,000. by on the other side of the graph here, the same amount of time, families that make more than $150,000 grew. $36,000 in silicon valley, $37,000 in the east bay. it's not so much that the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. it's that the poor are leaving the bay area and the wealthier are moving in. other news, the "wall street journal" says this morning twitter will take bids for a buyout later this week, putting itself up for sale. salesforce a rumored buyer. 000 we hear

i am scott mcgrew in for sam brock. >> i kris sanchez. the man hunt is unfolding as we speak. police have been searching for the armed man for a while now. officers have a whole neighborhood surrounded. >> right now police are telling people to stay away from huron drive near king and tully. marianne favreau is at the scene. >> reporter: we see more patrol cars arriving at this area. right now you can see there are about 20 patrol cars on clar east drive in east san jose. officers with long guns are look for the suspect and have established a perimeter and they're looking for the gunman who has been spotted behind several homes. around 9:00 this morning there was a report of a commercial burglary on tully road. when officers responded, they found a suspect, and he took off. he went into two separate homes here in clarice drive. we have reports from some that he had a gun and a knife. there are also reports he held a pregnant woman at gunpoint inside her home. he has left the home and the pregnant woman is safe. police are still searching for the man in the neighborhood. there

scott mcgrew has more. >>> the most important thing to be good at, right, when sending people into space is safety. today's unmanned test was all about escaping. the idea this morning was to pretend like something has gone terribly wrong. just a few seconds after launch the capsule, that's where the astronauts would be, separates from the main booster. this is intentional, blasting the supposed astronauts, who aren't really on board, to safety, three good chutes. that will land on the ground. no problem. and then, watch this. the booster itself returns to earth. they did not expect this to work out. this was just an extra bit of gravy. it's going to land. no problem at all. really remarkable how routine all of this has become. launching a rocket. landing them again. we are one step closer to blue origin going into space with people. back to you. >> a southwest airlines flight was evacuated this morning because of a scare connected to a smartphone. smoke started coming out of a passenger's smartphone. all 75 passengers headed from louisville to baltimore were evacuated along with the crew

. >> i'm scott mcgrew. sam brock has the day off. breaking news right now. two lanes of southbound 101 in san jose blocked by an overturned big rig. >> we'll check in with mike in just a minute for a look at that morning commute. first bob redell is live at that scene right now with the very latest. good morning, bob. >> reporter: good morning, laura and scott. the big rig trailer you're looking at over there is a ups trailer full of packages. it's a full load. just talked to chp. there was discussion over how they were going to upright it. one way of doing it was to put air bags underneath it. that would take two hours. what the tow truck company is going to do is try to do a weight check. they'll lift up the rear end of the trailer, figure out where the weight is right there. from that point they'll figure out if they can upright it using cable. that would probably take just one hour. so the idea is that if everything goes as planned, they could have this upright by 7:30. that's going to be well into the morning commute. it will take a little time after th
