i am scott stevenson. we are going to have a nice time talking about george washington's tent tonight. we also have an engineer that a structural engineer here in -- we have an engineer and eight textileconservator -- a conservator with us to talk about the tent. as you will hear many people say, it sometimes take a village to preserve these artifacts. if you have questions afterward, please feel free to grab any of us after the event. we will divide this up into three sections. i will talk about the history of the object itself and when we began to contemplate putting it on to display at the new museum of the american revolution. alex will talk about the engineering challenges of taking what was possibly the most historic and significant textile object since the star-spangled banner has been put on display in a museum. so, to face the unique challenges of displaying this three-dimensional textile object. virginia will talk about the challenges of conserving that object and preparing it for display. the hi
