>>>this was an ordinance that was characterized by supervisor scott weiner from the board of supervisors of san francisco for where this major transportation infrastructure was needed. so this 2016 subway vision provides policy guides for the system. they do take a long time to develop as we well know and they are such an effort that they do need to be done in a way that makes them a piece of a whole system. the long-range transportation effort of connect sf is what you heard about. this makes the decisions of what kind of systems pursue where. and so, a key reason but behind the speed and reliability means that there are a lot of factors that can hold them up obviously. with that will reliability subways can make them fast but with a subway there's trade-offs. they take a lot of time and a lot of money so that not necessarily the best answer for every mobility need. at this point in the vision we are thinking about what would be happening next.but even when relying on that word from years past, we wanted to now hear what san francisco and bay area residents were looking for today. this
