chief meteorologist scott williams is here to tell us how far hopefully not too far scott. >> lucy, we'll go below average tomorrow in the temperature department. we're looking at highs only in the 50s. low 60s perhaps in philadelphia. but take a look at ultimate doppler. you can see off to the south and west we're looking at a lot of showers and thunderstorms and you can kind of see that counterclockwise rotation. so we're watching disturbances in the atmosphere as well as that coastal system we've been talking about all week long. pretty quiet right now across the area. earlier this afternoon comer county, salem county a pop-up thunderstorm dumped moderate to heavy rain as well as lightning that has diminish. so pretty quiet and still pretty comfortable in fact low 60s right now in philadelphia. but 50s down the shore. so grab those jacket if's you're stepping outdoors. you can see low 50s surf city. we have 56 degrees right now in somers point. all because of the wind coming out of the east northeast sustained at about 15 miles per hour. so off to the west we're watching that upper lev

let's get straight over to chief meteorologist scott williams for a look at what's happening right now. scott. >> right now iain and lucy, we are still looking at ultimate doppler with showers even a few rumbles of thunder right now. thankfully nothing severe. right now wet conditions in philadelphia. also, moving along i-95 as you he had up the road to bensalem moderate to heavy rainfall as well but all of this because of a potent area of low pressure. well to the north and west of us we talked about this yesterday. we have a front that's moving through. so a lot of wind energy as that system continues to move on out to sea. but we saw winds gusting up to 71 miles per hour in the philadelphia area but right now some of that heavier rain moving into bucks county around doylestown. also moving back into sections of burlington and ocean county counties. and we've been monitoring some lightning with the cells as well. but you can see as we zoom in over the last several hours we saw that cold front it just kind of blue through the area. numerous wind reports across our area. also as we mov

let's get right over to chief meteorologist scott williams. >> tornado watch until 10:00 o'clock tonight. you can see watching a cold front off to the west that's one ingredient but we have some sunshine and that's not a good thing that helps destabilize the atmosphere atmosphere. so you can see those counties highlighted in read. that includes kent new castle county sections of cumberland, salem gloucester, camden and southeast philadelphia here we are looking at sections of the area underneath that tornado watch. already bubbling up right now around lancaster county we're looking at thunderstorm activity but what's the difference between a watch or a warning? a tornado watch basically means conditions are favorable for development and a tornado warning means that a tornado warning has been spotted or one has been indicateed by ultimate doppler but take look at the visibility satellite. you can see a throw lot of breaks in the clouds we are seeing that sunshine and we have dew points climbing into the 60s as well. right now the closest warning is severe thunderstorm warning well to the
