meteorologist scott williams here with your forecast at 11:00. scott, tracking a heat wave? >> dawn, we'll go from earlier this week we had temperatures stuck in the 60s. today high temperatures in the low 80s. yes, our second heat wave of the year is brewing over the next several days. live look right now down the shore. folks just enjoying the boardwalk. the shore will be a great place to be for the up coming weekend. as we look at the temperatures right now, it's still 71 degrees in philadelphia. 70 in trenton. 70 currently in wilmington and we have upper 60s to right around 70 still down the shore because of that land breeze for today. temperatures overnight bottom out into the mid 60s. we'll call it parly cloudy. it stays mild and then the jet stream that will lift well to the north over the next several days. so that heat pump will build and those temperatures will start to climb. case in point as we move toward tomorrow, a high of 86 degrees in philadelphia. 92 by sunday. look at monday into tuesday. temperatures topping out in the mid 90s it will feel even warmer. do

meteorologist scott williams has the holiday forecast coming up in just 15 seconds. >> we're closing book on the month of june and moving into july. july 4th is just a few days ahead. what will the weather be like? today it certainly was hot. the average high for this time of year is 86 degrees. look at the high temperatures across the area. philadelphia 93. 92 in allentown. it was 91 in reading. wilmington topped out at 90 degrees and 90 in trenton. as we look at the temperatures right now, if you're looking for some heat relief, head to the pocono mountains. 74 degrees right now and cooler temperatures currently down the shore. but take look at the i-95 corridor. upper 80 toss low 90s now philadelphia, 89 wilmington, 88 current until dover. but look at the cooler conditions down the shore. because of that sea breeze. water temperatures low 60s right now. so ocean city 73 degrees. 73 currently cape may point. but you head inland, camden 91 degrees. 99 currently in cinnaminson. so temperatures for tonight staying pretty warm. 73 degrees the overnight low in trenton. 74 in wilmington.

that's where we find our scott williams. re on hurricane season which begins today and scott, so far little active with arlene but now we have to see what the rest of the summer will bring. >> yeah, absolutely, kathy. we've been kind of crunching some of the numbers looking at the forecast from know noaa along with colorado state to talk about the 2017 hurricane season. things pretty quiet right now in the open waters of the atlantic, but let's focus in on the names expected for the 2017 season much us a mentioned kathy we already had arlene. that was early in april. so next up on the list would be brett followed by cindy, then don, emily, and franklin. hopefully we don't make it too far down that list. last year we had 15 named stor storms. seven became hurricanes and four became major hurricanes, of course, we had hurricane matthew at its strongest was a category five hurricane. so let's talk about the numbers expected this year. noaa's forecast predicting 11 to 17 named storms. colorado state expecting about 14. so the ave
