and with me is scott rock star who better to talk about these nominations that with you scott wow it's the usual suspects a bit yeah i mean a handful of films basically picked up everything led by the joker in some ways i thought was great that the joker to get so many nominations because it was sort of it was a hugely controversial film but didn't credibly well the box office i found it really interesting that movie and then he combined the most successful is all of that we have right now in popular cinema which is superhero movies with the period of movies in the 1970 s. which is think is perhaps the best period that hollywood has ever produced in terms of quality and he's managed to combine both of those genres in one film but of course it was incredibly controversial a movie many people are saying it's a bit of an apology for. or insult culture so for of aggressive male culture so it's going to be very very interesting to see how the cademy react to these nominations and whether or not joker has a chance of winning big in any surprises i was surprised a bit that it's all basically
