our plan is to take a left turn at this gas station and head towards sderot.e get to this intersection and we see an ambulance on the side of the road. we figure let's jump out and do some reporting on the constant flow of civilians being loaded into ambulances here along the gaza border. people are using their personal cars to drop off their loved ones. and so we start to piece together what's happening and we have a decision to make. do we stay at the intersection and report or do we go with the initial plan? if one person on the team feels not good about it, the whole team doesn't go. i made a decision for us to stay put. i don't know why i made that decision at that moment, but i'm glad that i did because had we driven just one intersection further, we would have driven directly into a hamas ambush at this road where hamas had ambushed civilians. and had we continued driving, we would have driven directly into the ambush. you know, i keep thinking what would happen to us if we didn't stop, because otherwise we would be down in sderot when the massacre was

it was an eerie feeling, being in the middle of sderot , watching the middle of sderot, watching the into sderot and other communities. and finally, we should add that with regard to hamas capabilities, it has been very significantly degraded. that is a big win for israel. but just this morning, another four rockets came from hamas. not many. most days there are no rockets from hamas. but clearly it was a symbolic gesture. but just four rockets came over the border into israel this morning. >> i just want to ask you about the british involvement and angles on all of this. we've got emily de—man picture on the front of a number of the papers. she's the british israeli hostage, and her mother has been speaking out saying, i need to see my daughter's face again. i need to see her smile. we also had a fourth plane departing from lebanon last night, 8:30, full of british citizens being organised by the british government, and the advice remains for citizens to leave the country as soon as possible and meanwhile there was a poll over the weekend, mark, about british support for the action
