notice the flag moving around, we've got the sea breeze.tively thin that stratus layer is. that's what happens when the marine air is compressed down to 1,000 feet. you don't get much cooling inland. you can see our temperatures in the 60s, san francisco over to oakland but not much after reach of the ocean air conditioning. we're still well into the 90s around fairfield and livermore, so we've got the onshore winds but nowhere as strong as the last couple of days. the trend will continue tomorrow. we'll see our valleys into the upper 80s and mid 90s, maybe even into tuesday before midweek we'll see inland cooling and not much change on the coast. you can see the low clouds during the day, even down toward santa cruz. but again, a compressed marine layer, and maybe misty skies but inland not much effect of that sea breeze especially the south bay and east bay. satellite view shows you the cirrus free of thunderstorms. we have a few clouds but most of the moisture from what used to be hurricane ileana continues to weaken. moving to the west

that will bring slight cooling today with an afternoon sea breeze. it will allow the temperatures to really cap off in the mid-80s in our warmest inland valleys. but we are looking at the first couple days of the week to be maybe a couple degrees cooler than yesterday. and then we are going to weekly warm up again. here's a look at our atlanta and radar composite. you will notice that we do have a weak system to the north of us. this will provide a few high clouds. but the emergency, not much moisture. headed to the north and east of us. but out ahead of it, it is pushing some of the low clouds, the fog our way. and because of that, we will get a little bit more in the way of that cooler marine air. slightly cooler air mass, allowing for temperatures to come down maybe two to four degrees today. but with those shorter days, yeah, the afternoon definitely gets a little bit on the cool side. rip currents possibility along the central coast around marina state beach. but otherwise we are talking about plenty of sunshine. feeling pretty good with low 60s

we're cooling down as the sea breeze starts to pick up. not cooling quickly. getting compressed down to below 1,000 feet. most of the cooling, though, being felt around the peninsula and the bay. you see the winds(siifting on shore out to the east bay valleys. tomorrow it's going to be hot. mid 80s to low 90s tomorrow. midweek we're going to see some cooling but on the coast looks like misty skies and still some foggy conditions here as we go through the next couple of days. here is a look at the low clouds around the golden gate. a tough drive, through the clouds and we'll see those low clouds push across the bay, even santa cruz, cool today. we saw low 70s for highs. right now no thunderstorms around the sierra or the central coast. however, late tuesday into wednesday we may have to watch moisture here to the west of baja california. what's left of ileana here. the low moving to the west. eventually the low aloft will switch out of the south so we'll have to watch maybe for mountain thunder, certainly for the sierra by midweek. maybe over the coastal range
