if you're on the eastern seaboard, it's going to be a soggy few days. the moisture this morning is all the way down here from the panhandle of florida up through georgia. and just streaking up the eastern seaboard. this will probably be a two or three-day event. what you see out your window this morning, be prepared for more of that as we go throughout the weekend. the rest of the country is gorgeous. a heat wave out west. chilly in the great lakes but perfect fall weather. it's just the eastern seaboard and just this flow of moisture just going south to north. you can see we even have clusters of thunderstorms now in south carolina. eastern south carolina will get drenched. watch out in raleigh. d.c., baltimore, morning. there's a lot of drizzle in new york city this morning. more of the steadier rains are down to the south. that will shift northwards during the day. if you're in especially southern new england today, make sure you have the umbrella and everywhere up and down i-95. appalachians, maybe even flooding rains over the next three days. it wa

nice weekend in the eastern seaboard. we're going to see high pressure build in over the weekend. that is going to sweep the fog away tomorrow. a little breezy on sunday then we're looking at northerly winds to warm us up quickly. so the warming trend begins on our beaches and getting hot downtown on monday. sausalito 68. 70 tomorrow. millbrae, 70 later on. northern sierra 80 and dropping through tomorrow with breezy conditions. mid 90s in yosemite. south land, cooling trend for southern california and san diego, 77 for today and down

all of this moisture is infiltrating the eastern seaboard. it is going to bear all of the coast tomorrow which is why we are expecting heavy downpours. we should say flood watches but we have a coastal flood watch in effect and a general watch in effect for our entire area. it is going to be a very bad day tomorrow. the flooding is the real issue with this because we could get six to eight hours straight of those heavy rains. we are going to be consistent in temperatures tomorrow. at last check, we were right at about 70 degrees. the clouds this afternoon are going to intensify. we are talking 868 to 73 degrees. 60 to 65 degrees, we will start to see the rain showers start. it is going to be dicey all day long, heavy pockets of rain at times. let's take a quick look at futurecast. a nice back to rain at about 9:00. even more into tomorrow night. we are talking about an all-day event here, and still unsettled on friday. the silver lining? we are going to have a nice weekend but we could see some flooding tomorrow. we will keep you posted. >> b

eventually tonight and tomorrow, it's going to work its way up the eastern seaboard. this is a stationary front in this tropical entity. it's not really a storm yet. it may never be. it's going to follow this front. if you're right on i-95 towards the coast, that's who is going to get drerched from this system. you can look at the radar this morning. the storm is down by havanna, currently over cuba heading into the florida straights. miami is getting drenched, soon up into the beaches around melbourne. then all the rain will head up into the carolinas. over the last couple of days, wilmington and areas have seen a ton of rain. serious flooding concerns into thursday and friday. notice our computers are pinpointing new jersey for very heavy rain up here into southern new england, too. the forecast for today, middle of the country. fantastic. much of the east is okay. if you're right along the coast, you're going to see heavy rain in the next few days. here is a look at the weather outside your window. in the ohio valley, tennessee valley, gorgeous weather conditions.

it is moving up the eastern seaboard. and from here to maine, if you haven't got your rain and wind yet, you're about to. look at this storm, all the way from the caribbean. the clouds there, well up the eastern seaboard. that's more than 2,000 miles of tropical moisture traveling the eastern seaboard. the radar will show you the heavier batches of rain in yellow that are forming inland. and there's a tornado watch that runs from here all the way into philly. that's more than 370 miles worth of tornado watch that lasts until 1:00 this afternoon. all day long, that rain will continue to move north into areas like raleigh, washington, philly, new york. and eventually on into boston. this storm will have more wind than any storm we've seen lately along the coastline. we expect there will be lots of power outages here. about 40-mile-per-hour to 60-mile-per-hour winds expected as this thing wraps up. here's what happened. it was a big tropical system. and it kind of fell apart out in the atlantic. it threw all its moisture and
