sean bennett takes us to the front line. >>> cal fire says they still have a tough job ahead as they enter day three. smoke filled canyons through highway 49. you can even smell it before you get to the base camp where crews have been setting up. multiple agencies have been fighting this fire for the last three days. so far there have been four injuries to firefighters. three of them have been released from the hospital in sacramento. one remains in the hospital with nonlife threatening injuries. no structures have been destroyed but so far flames are threatening 1800 homes in both placer and nevada counties. there will be a shift in the weather. that's going to be the story. it's expected to be triple digits wednesday, thursday, friday and into the weekend as well. crews want to get an advantage and a big head start during the day shift as opposed to the night shift. >> we are optimistic with additional aircraft but our plan of attack is to increase the containment line. we want that line around it. we have increased temperatures coming with lower humidity. we really want to get ahe
