joining me now, "washington post" congressional reporter sean sullivan, one of the reporters behind thatwashington post" headline. sean, good to see you. first, tell me more about what you learned regarding that warning to the president. i guess he was briefed at camp david, but just how dire was the warning? >> it was a pretty dire warning. there are three main factors right now that i think are really, really worrying republicans about the 2018 midterms. one is just history. the fact that a first midterm is usually not very good for a president who is just coming into office. the second thing is we're not s seeing candidates, republican candidates, enter these races. we're seeing retirements in the house. would be challengers in the senate say, you know, i think i'm going to pass. i'm going to wait this out. maybe run in the future. the third thing is the president's approval rating itself. he is not a popular figure right now. this warning that the president got at camp david was a pretty serious one that outlined, you know, the worst case scenario which could be a pretty big wipeout,
