i understand you are going through my home time, seattle next year -- my home town. seattle next.and raised there. and of course, if that is not enough for you to do while you are here, you should talk to mohammed about getting tickets to the giants, the 49ers, or outside because that is -- outside plans because that is happening this weekend. that is the fun we have in our great city. we are a large city. i get to talk and write about the things we're doing, and i want you to know that the internment -- and permit, our commitment to greening are parts of what we're here to do because of the advocacy that you do across the country, keep of that work, keep reminding mayors like me and everybody else we have an obligation to take the greening ideas and put them into the urban setting. give our kids the chance to get dirty with their hands, but watch things grow as they grow. this is the only way i know how to run the city. i have worked in this alleyways for many years. worked in the dirtiest smelling streets of our city. i come out loving our people even greater. whenever graffiti

there could be some delays in the seattle area.one traveling through the mountain passes we are seeing several inches of snow. been raining and snowing out that way since last weekend. so, travel troubles continue in the northwest but everywhere else we are seeing a good amount of sunshine for what's left of the travel this evening. tonight looks clear and not too cold so icy patches not an issue but tomorrow it will actually be a white thanksgiving across portions of northern north dakota, northern minnesota. but elsewhere, again, seeing sunshine. a couple of showers possible through the chicago area. nothing that should create too too many delays and still a nuisance but most people will already be in their destination getting to thanksgiving and then friday some of that lighter rain starting to spread eastward. otherwise, thanksgiving looks good. >> thanks so much for that. >>> for more on holiday travel, we're joined by wendy saks. toure? >> let's talk about the biggest choke points and people traveling in to and from them and

just an impressive slug of moisture especially between portland and seattle. high wind warnings at the coast, the higher elevations and the cascades. temperatures are pretty warm. the snow levels are well up there, in most cases above the passes. this is just an impressive feat of moisture. when you see the dark greens, yellows and oranges, you know you'll get heavy rain. our computers are estimating this area of maroon here, talking in the next 48 hours, five to six inches of rain possible from an area, almost all the oregon coastline heading south of puget sound. that's going to cause flooding concerns. there's potential on some of the rivers. we'll watch that in the next two days. snow mostly in the northern portions of the cascades and also as we head toward the northern rockies, glacier national park. that's about it. the way the flow is, it's more of a pacific air mass. it's not going to kick through and bring the cooler air with it. that's the way the setup looks. as far as the forecast goes, the heavy rain will be from northern california north ward, e
