selina juul arrived in copenhagen from moscow when she was just 13.fter years of barely having enough to eat, she was overwhelmed by the abundance of food available in the average danish supermarket. but she was disheartened when she saw how much of it went to waste. so, she decided to do something about it. reporter: selina juul goes to supermarkets to campaign, not to shop. she's the face of a danish initiative trying to stop food waste. selina: you shouldn't eat food after the expiry of the use-by-date. now there is another date called "best before." and you can actually eat the food that is past the best before date. so remember that best "before" does not mean "toxic after." reporter: juul grew up in russia. she says that when she came to denmark as a teenager, the affluent society she found here opened her eyes to wastage. selina: i got very upset. so eight years ago i started out a facebook group. it's called "stop wasting food," and two weeks later we were on national media, and today we have become the biggest danish organization against food

joining us with more is selina and my guest host. why is softbank buying the company?d a marketable product in the near future. softbank does not have that kind of pressure. it has a ton of cash. he said he is trying to create a 300 year plan so there is plenty of time for boston robotics to come up with their go to market strategy. emily: who does this fit into softbank's strategy? >> this is not softbank's first robotic product. the acquired a french company and unveiled pepper a few years later. it is supposed to be social. it has not done well in the market. there are 10,000 on the market mostly in japan. we do not know if the team at boston dynamics will be folded into that, will be fitted into the pepper ambitions, or be separate. it is not out of the blue for softbank. emily: george, what do you make of this? george: i am not surprised at all. softbank is looking to build its portfolio in robotics. i see them looking to invest in robotic startups across the entire valley. i know google was looking to partner with them. google is looking to focus on artificial in

selina: definitely. and in within china it has spawned these third-party that do end to end services from i.t. infrastructure marketing distribution for these companies . part of this is to help these small sellers find these third-party logistics and international sellers to make it possible. the issue is that these third-party services cost money and they still have to pay out front. so nothing is free here. in terms ofted that the chinese market, going forward easily going to of that business if they want to grow internationally. how is he going to make this easier? are the companies going on there from international basis actually treated the same as chinese companies? i'm asking you lost -- lots of questions here. and how will jack ma be held responsible for these jobs he wants to create? selina: it's all about how you count it. the goal is that because of the added commerce, the u.s. seller will have to hire at least one person. not to mention the indirect jobs created by logistics and warehouses.
