you're a senator, you're a key aide, you're allowed to park close, capitol police. that is the chokepoint that i enter through now in this new security regime where they still the have this limited amount of fencing around the u.s. capitol. now, again, they took down the outer perimeter a couple of weeks ago and stripped the wire from the top of that and the inner perimeter fence. that inner perimeter fence gips right there. that's around the immediate capitol. and that's where you would come in. i'm told in the past few minutes that the suspect met two capitol police officers, there's usually a lot more, usually a contingent of five or six people standing there. there's also some national guard troops who are often nearby, there are two sets of barricades that you would have to get through. the car rammed into the first barricade, so security worked. that's ooh how it's supposed to be. you're not supposed to get that close to the capitol, and there's redundancy with the second barricade that they can raise and lower. then what happened the suspect got out of the ca
