as hard as it was for him, lindsey went back to school while i lived in seneca with a very special aunt and uncle. lindsey came home every weekend, unlike most college kids that age the stay on campus and had fun lindsey came home to check , on his little sister. now that i have a dot or was -- now that i have a daughter almost 21, i realized how young he was and how hard that had to be on him, what a huge responsibility it was, but he never made me feel like a word in. he always made me feel so loved. lindsey also made sure i finished high school, went to college. he even legally adopted me. lindsey has been through my side through some wonderful times. he has been through many special events in my children's lives, emily and nicole, and he has been by my side during some very tough times. the values we learned in this town, the work ethic instilled in us by our parents and the love we received from the people in this community are what got us through those tough times. those were the morals he took to the statehouse and to the united states senate. with your support, i know he will ta

we have more on this -- is as accessible to great seneca highway. we have more on this accident. >> reporter: i'm nikki burdine live at the scene after fatal accident. we're on sam eig highway. this happened just around 3:45 this morning. i'm sad to tell you a young boy estimated to be about 10 years old did die in the crash this morning. police say a woman driving a white vehicle was going eastbound here on sam eig highway, crossed over the median and then crashed and burst into flames. the woman got out of the car. she was taken to the hospital. she's got burns on her hands and she's going to be okay. but the boy again believed to be about 10 years old was pronounced dead here at the scene. i'm told montgomery county ems were actually driving by and spotted the car that was on fire. they put the flames out and that's when they found the young boy. fire marshals are still here investigating because there was a death involving a fire. accident reconstruction crews are also here. the section of sam eig highway between diamondback drive and fields roa

as hard as it was for him, lindsey went back to school while i lived in seneca with a very special aunt and uncle, but lindsey came home every weekend, unlike most college kids that age the stay on campus and had fun. lindsey came home to check on his little sister. now that i have a daughter who is almost 21, i realized how young he was and how hard that had to be on him, what a huge responsibility it was, but he never made me feel like a word in. he always made me feel so loved and so's to work. lindsey also made sure i finished high school, went to college. he even legally adopted me. lindsey has been through my side through some wonderful times. he has been through many special events in my children's lives, emily and nicole, and he has been by my side during some very tough times.
