sen.e sanders: home. amy goodman: and talk about what you went through. sen. bernie sanders: well, when the results came in from indiana, i was very nervous. we had an outside chance with a conservative democrat to win that seat. no one thought that clinton was going to win it. and he got beaten rather badly, and i started getting nervous. and it was downhill from there. i went into the evening thinking that it was about a two-to-one shot that clinton would win. so, i mean, i wasi was not shocked that trump wonsurprised, but not shockedfor the reasons, some of the reasons, that i gave. but i will not deny to you that it was a very depressing evening. i did not want to deal with the media. i didn't want toi was invited to be on, you know, a million different things. i didn't even show up at the state event, you know. so, i will not deny that it was a depressing evening. and since then, i've been thinking as hard as i can, with other people, about how we go forward and what the best response

sen. flake: sen. blumenthal: but the incoming president going against this merger because of the size of it. mergeds this size of the company compare to the real competitors we are talking about? any figures there? >> if you put our two companies together, the combined market cap is $350 billion. the companies that mark has referenced, google, facebook, apple, these companies have market caps about two times that size. ok is talk about significant of a deal like this, we have to recalibrate what size means. we are half the size of these committees providing for its to our core businesses today. kimmelman, do. you have any response to that? concurmelman: i totally in your assessment. my kids do the same thing as yours. i think we should skate to where the puck is. i will just note on the margin, young people are doing different things. 90% plus of the revenue comes from traditional sources. the companies will skate to where the puck is. they will try to control as much of that nudist region as possible

sen.ccain: well, obviously, one of the issues, the situations that brought this to a boil is the allegations of russia interfering not only in our elections, but in other elections around the world. that undermines, obviously, the fundamentals of democracy, if they are able to succeed. but more importantly, charlie, testimony before the committee by our military and civilian leaders in defense have all stated that cyber is one of the areas where we do not have an advantage over our potential adversaries. we not only don't have an advantage, in some instances, they have an advantage. these hearings will be focused on the overall issue of cyber security, and obviously, their ability or inability to effect the outcome of elections in democratic countries would certainly be one of the issues, but only one. charlie: but you are saying you'll have your own investigation at the armed services committee. sen. mccain: my understanding among other things is its not -- it is not whether they are just
