here's a look at sentinel radar. you can see the little changeover pushing farther down to the south. this is coming right down into montgomery county, perhaps inside the beltway, too we'll see big flakes mixing in and more snow up to the north. there may be grassy accumulation north of 70 as this has been pretty much snow the last couple hours and coming through the northern sections our northern county around the mason dixon line. this all breaks apart. the front is coming in, initial cold front. there's snow shaws behind it but nothing we need to worry about. we worry about this next storm for tomorrow. for a while it fell off the models and we thought it was gone. it came back thursday, friday. so it's getting stronger tomorrow evening. it's far enough offshore just about every model is saying this now, this is going to be far enough offshore that the snow will be limited to the extreme eastern section. this is delmarva here and right up the jersey shore they may pick up a couple inches up there, maybe 3. in plac

let's get a closer look as we go to our sentinel radar here. this system is moving out of kentucky and tennessee. it has been able to drop a small amount of snow. as it gets closer to our area, i think it will break out in the western suburbs about 4 a.m. and be a quick hitter. i think it's probably over about 8:00 or so, maybe 9:00 over on the eastern shore. here's my concern. we had a lot of heavy rain yesterday, a lot of the road salts washed away. so there may be some delays and maybe even some slipperiness as this very quick burst of snow comes through. there's a lot of dry air, so it will have to overcome that. i think it will be a life fluffy snow and probably will stick. i'm expecting light snow for the morning commute. i expect it to begin before the sun comes up with only minor accumulations, maybe a coating to an inch likely sticking on grass and sidewalks, maybe some of the roadways. it should be gone by midmorning, but then we're back with that blustery cold weather. winds will gust potentially 35, 40 miles an hour. i'll be getting

let's go to sentinel radar.of this is green even though i've gotten a few reports around leesburg there was some snow, out along 81 some snow and this is all moving west to east at a pretty good clip. there's snow now farther north, but you have to really go up to the north, northern montgomery county up into carroll county. that's where we're seeing snow now. the bigger picture, you can see there's an end to this, a little light snow farther to the west and way out in texas and dropping down into oklahoma, that is the storm that potentially develops for tomorrow that may bring us a little bit more snow, lot of cold air in place tomorrow and tomorrow afternoon. as we head into tomorrow evening, we watch the track of the low and it is becoming -- well, i'm becoming pretty confident now this low is moving more out to sea and so that means little or no snow for the metro for tomorrow, more details. i'll explain a little further coming up in the full forecast. >> you can track the weather 24/7 with the fox 5 weather
