this is 6-year-old sergio zepeda. in addition to searching for him, san jose police are talking to his mother and her boyfriend. alyssa, you spoke with them, as well. >> reporter: i did. and they were very worried, especially as it kept getting later and later in the day. sergio has been missing from his home for 14 hours. and the search does continue into the night. in fact, search and rescue teams were just called back to the staging area. they're heading back up the hill to look. there's also the flyers have been printed. search dogs, a helicopter and a community looking for this little boy. 6-year-old sergio zepeda was last seen at his house on san jose's rorty drive. he was watching tv and jumping around. when they started to cook breakfast, he was gone. >> everybody's worried. it's like, too much time. >> i don't know where he is. i wish i would know. >> reporter: sergio's mom and her boyfriend have been talking to investigators all day. that's why they're in a police car. but they're not considered suspects. an

abc 7 news reporter sergio quintana is live to explain exactly what happened. sergio, close call. >> reporter: yeah, that driver was arrested but it wasn't actually for charges related to this crash. instead, he was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant for drug possession out of sacramento but i will show you, these crews worked really really quick to patch up the gaping hole that was left from the car going into this bar. workers at the comstock were just wrapping up the lunch rush when this red bmw came crashing into the historic saloon. according to police, one customer suffered minor injuries and another was taken to the hospital, but officers didn't have details on those injuries. witnesses say the driver was heading southbound on columbus and completely missed the turn on to pacific avenue. >> i didn't hear any screeching of brakes or anything like that. it just happened so fast. i thought he went clear through the restaurant and out the other end. >> as a result of our investigation we conducted a warrant check and we determined that the driver

kron 4's mike pelton is live where authorities found young sergio zepeda. >> reporter: this story with a happy ending. authorities found him just over a mile from his home in san jose. san jose police got a call at about 4:13 this morning for a man living near lewis and monterrey road in a homeless camp. several people called police and those in a homeless camp gave the boy food and shelter until police arrived this morning. he's autistic and nonverbal and think he got out of the garage. police spent overnight looking for the boy and fortunately they found him, again, a little over 4:15 this morning. authorities did transport zepeda to the hospital where he was reunited with his family this morning. >> has been to report there was a happy ending. thank you, mike. >>> richmond police are still looking for this man wanted in connection with a bus into a house friday night. it crashed into an ac transit bus. that bus then crashed into a home. officers saw contreres fleeing the scene. this is video from our helicopter partnered with abc 7 news. the accident happened at 18th and burbick ave

sergio is six years old. his parents say he's autistic and not comfortable speaking. today we saw a big search and rescue crew going door to door in a south san jose neighborhood. the family lost track of him early this morning near his house. nbc bay area's christy smith live from the neighborhood with more. christie. >> reporter: police have been speaking with family and friends. we did see his mom leave a short time ago, presumely to go home. no sign of the 6-year-old boy who has autism and is non-verbal. police are asking for the public's help in locating sergio who disappeared from the family home this morning. it's believed me may have wandered off. police spoke with a man who said he was the man's boyfriend this afternoon. he said he looked for the boy this morning and then spent the day talking with officers about it. the mom spoke with them at length too and they were escorted from one command post to another. search and rescue teams looked for him in a three to four mile radius. we're told he was home one minute and then gone. >> he was happy. i don't know w
