sergio quintana has more. >> reporter: terry, with the cdc giving the green light for those third shots, some medical organizations and drugstore chains are publishing their guidelines and directions as to how people can go ahead and get those shots. at the county fairgrounds in san jose, a clinic began offering those third doses to people who are eligible today. the santa clara department of public health published directions on how people can get their third shots late last night. according to the fda, it should only be made available to the 2.7% of american adults who have a compromised immune system due to transplants or cancer. >> i do take medications that suppress my immune system and i don't know how well protected i am. so when it became available for a booster shot, i opted to go and get it. >> we are encouraging all vaccine providers throughout the county to be ready to provide those additional doses for this high risk population. our county sites were ready as of last night. >> reporter: walgreens and cvs have already posted information about the way people can get a third s
