joining me now to discuss is seth rich. he is the vice president of client risk management at global guardian and global security services firm. thank you so much for being with us this morning, seth. fbi officials are saying they do not believe the terror suspect acted alone. when you hear that, could that be there are more coconspirators or could that simply be that they were helped by i.s.i.s. operatives potentially online with the planning or all of the above? >> it's a great question, sarah. when you look at the complexity of this attack, it had been well planned ahead of time. >> so you at a minimum, likely have a logistics component of people that helped the terrorist pull this attack off. so it's a combination of reconnaissance, building ieds, all the things that we're hearing about and reporting now. so more will come out of the investigation of was this an inspired attack or was this a direct support attack? but there's likely more people that are involved. >> i do want to talk to you about the videos that have su

thank you seth. we're also following developing news out of las vegas today. a cybertruck burst into flames outside the trump international hotel. we're now being told that that explosion was intentional and that law enforcement is investigating it as a possible terror attack as well. one person died, several others injured. video shows smoke billowing from the valet area of the hotel this morning after that explosion. the hotel guests, including one of the president-elect's sons, evacuated. well, we saw a lot of smoke through the windows. we go downstairs and then the whole lobby. everyone's trapped from trying to go to the airport. so then they came up with a solution to evacuate everyone through the back doors. seven people were taken to the hospital. the person killed was inside that cybertruck, which was rented through turo. the truck used in the new orleans attack, we told you just a short while ago, was also rented using turo. now, turo has released a statement regarding the new orleans incident, saying in part, quote, we are heartbroken to learn that o

people like pete haig seth, tulsi gabbard as her intelligence leadership role. so we are going to start seeing indications that those are going to be moving quickly and then next week is when we will see those hearings actually kick off. host: when those take place today usually let one go at a time, or are there hearings that happen at multiple times? guest: they try to avoid conflict but we are expecting quite a few on the 14th and 15th and as you pointed out, it kind of depends on which committees these nominees end up sitting before, or whether they can kind of have many going on at the same time. the members of these committees that these people are being nominated for are going to be the ones who have this hearing. some nominees, rfk jr., for example, at have to sit before two different committees in the senate, of house and judiciary. so there's going to be a lot of hearings coming up, some of these nominees have some concerns that senators are going to want to have addressed. host: what starts happening in the house legislatively, what is the primary foc

seth collier takes over as oakland's fire union president the same days as the stations closed. he says oakland, which has about 78,000 calls for fire service every year, can't afford to close any stations for any amount of time. and then the city is threatening to close an additional four for a total of seven, which is 30% of our engine companies. and that's unthinkable. i mean, there's no way we can responsibly respond to emergencies like that. oakland is scheduled to announce the additional foreclosures by early february, but the city administrator says his office is trying to save every penny it can and look for new revenue to keep the stations open. we really looked across the board with respect to freezing positions, that sort of thing, and just everything that every trigger that local governments have at their disposal to close these deficits. the chief says the department will address response time concerns by having trucks from station 21 here respond to those two areas where the closures are occurring, along with four other stations that will assist in oakland. thom je
