adam sexton, wmur news 9. jennifer: tonight it's back to prison for a man who witnessed the killing of an epsom police officer and then fired shots at police during the get away. kevin paul was released in may but his parole has just been revoked. wmurs andy hershberger live now with these new developments. reporter: kevin paul is going back to prison for two years, just seven months after he was granted parole. paul went before the parole board this morning, facing a total of 13 violations. paul was with gordon perry back in 1997 when perry shot and killed epsom police officer jeremy sharon. paul pleaded guilty to several charges related to that crime and was sentenced to 16 to 50 years in prison. perry is serving life without parole. the board found today that paul violated 10 of the 13 complaint filed against him that include a drug offense and failing to report to his parole officer. paul is also still facing have been bound over to superior court. >> it clear that you can't take him at his word. his words

in belmont, adam sexton, wmur news 9. jean: police in ceylon arrested salem arrested a man on the run from police in massachusetts for more than a year. 23-year-old joshua chevez appeared via videolink in court this morning. investigators got a tip last night that he was staying at a hotel in salem. chevez is wanted for a 2014 fatal shooting in lawrence, massachusetts. police say this arrest unfolded quickly and without incident. >> mr. chevez actually exited the room, forcing our hand to make the arrest faster than we probably would have wanted to, but with the information we had at the time and the scenario we took immediate action and took him into custody. jean: police say they found drugs scattered inside the hotel room, along with a loaded 38 caliber handgun stuffed under the bed. josh: as winter weather settles in, fire officials are reminding people about the dangers of carbon monoxide. crews in nashua alone say they' ve reponded to more than a dozen calls this month, including some that came close to being fatal.

i' m adam sexton. wmur' s kristen carosa is live in concord where we just learned a sad development. kristen: adam, this search started yesterday at around 3:00 p.m., and as of 11:00 this morning, crews had found the body. let' s show you some video that took place here in concord earlier today. crews started their search wednesday afternoon after they received a report of a missing kayaker on turkey pond in concord. the kayak was located a short time later. it belonged to 68-year-old john stapler. the kayak was found by an employee working at st. paul' s school, which is close by. crews suspended their search last night and resumed this morning just before 9:00 a.m. sgt. hawkes: they went out at 8:40 this morning, we located mr. stapler at around 10:40, so it took about two hours. the new hampshire fish and game dive team located him on the second dive of the day. obviously, they are distraught as anyone would be. our department, all of our hearts goes out to them. we cannot imagine what they are goin
