programs like our green business program which is a citywide business program and the department of sf puc and other departments in the business program. we work together on urban forestry. puc is with the urban council and agricultural issues and environment issues and they are all part of the agency working group. we have a common goal of providing justice and common goals of providing transportation and increasing the number of the electric vehicles infrastructure for this city. we have lots of room for growth as well in terms of projects where we can work together. our outreach efforts are already partnering with sf puc and other areas and a lot more. for example, for the past few years, our school education program has carried water conservation message to children on behalf of sf puc. we have departments now that reaches people door to door throughout the city, it's an area where we can cooperate and work together and -- taking our green jobs and helps to meet our goals. those are layers where we should cooperate and staff will give a lot more depth to these topics, . there is a lot

this is with puc and department of public health and school district. sf environment was brought in to do the outreach to the students about why drinking swear the so important and why it's good to drink hetch hetchy water from the tapas posed to water bottles. they have been given hetch hetchy water bottles so they can have drinking water at school. last year we were doing workshops to train on the water curriculum and worked with more than 60 teachers so far. here is a picture of teachers going through one of the lesson plans in the curriculum where students pretend to go back in the days of the gold rush where water was limited and they had to do daily activities using a limited amount of water. if you have only a gallon of day how you would use it so students understand how modern plumbing encourages us to use because it's so readily available. we also partner with the sf puc and all three enterprises at the puc and there is toxic program and zero waste program to sponsor the connection. a program with the san francisco unified school district where st

we had a hefty reserve with the mou with the sf puc and that is the bill that actually pays for that work. if you want, we will have enough in riche our reserve in our one-year budget. some lafcos have a policy of what the reserve amount should be at minimum? and in some cases maximum. so we might want to in the future have that discussion, but the mou with the sfpuc will expire at the end of this upcoming fiscal year. so we won't have access to that money necessarily unless there is is an extension of that mou. but we should be planning and preparing ourselvess for it not to happen just to be on the safe side. so if that is at the discretion of this commission if it wants to give back allocated amount that is given to lafco or that the city and county and gives to lafco. under state statute once an estimate has been established the city and county or in this case the city and county of san francisco needs to give the exact same amount it gave in the previous year for the next year. they cannot reduce the lafco itself is the only body to reduce the amount. we have accepted the money

about our joint and different concerns about infrastructure of the puc and the programs that are basically infrastructure like green power sf that what work together i know that the public utilities commission has greatest needs around the power enterprise just before we approved the clean power sf program two years ago we knew we were looking at a cliff. i've had numerous conversations about the needs of the program. we also have a policy direction that the board of supervisors has indicated with a very strong majority vote that we'll have a clean power program to provide san francisco residents with a choice based on renewable energy that's been taking taken away but to have a program in go place. i think there's ways to accomplish both and that we have to find a way as a city to accomplish both. but right now we we don't have the conversation of proper leadership sending a signal like not approving approving this budget can bring us all to the table to craft a new version that can meet our differences and our joint needs. and so i'm going to do table i move to table see if we can get it done and if the mayor wants to com

we have a number of twice get information from the puc through twitter and facebook and our website sfpools or spas. but they could use it to flush their toilets if their source are not broken. let's look at those issues. >> sanitation is another issue and something people don't usually or like to think about it but it's the reality. very likely that without water you can't flush and the sewer system can be impeded or affected during an earthquake. you need to think about sanitation. the options are simple. we recommend a set up if you are able to stay in your building or house to make sure that you have heavy duty trash bags available. you can set this up within your existing toilet bowl and once it's used. you take a little bit of our bleach. we talked about it earlier from the water. you seal the bag completely. you make sure you mark the bag as human waste and set it aside and wait for instruction about how to dispose of it. be very aware of cleanliness and make sure you have wipes so folks are able to wash up when dealing with the sanitation issue. >> thank you so much, >> hello,
