(grant) the national transportation safety board has released its preliminary report on last month's deadly amtrak incident in washington state. according to the report.... the train was going 78 miles per hour before it flew off an overpass onto a highway....killing three people and injuring dozens. the train had been traveling through a 30-mile-per-hour zone. the engineer and another crew member haven't been interviewed by the n-t-s-b yet because of their considerable injuries. (grant) authorities say a man from india sexually assaulted a 22-year-old woman while she was sleeping on a flight from las vegas to detroit wednesday. the detroit free press reports that the woman....who cited a federal complaint... immediately notified a flight attendant about what happened. the victim says when she woke up....her shirt was unbuttoned and the man had his hand down her pants. authorities later arrested the suspect who was in court wednesday on charges of aggravated sexual abuse.... he spoke

. >>> passengers on board a lufthansa flight finally arrived at sfo.ll get to weather in a minute there, bill, but finally arrived at sfo late this afternoon after the airbus a-380 was diverted to oakland because of the fog after an 11-hour flight from germany. passengers spent two more hours on the tarmac there in oakland. the website flightaware shows the plane's initial path from germany to sfo where it circled the airport for 30 minutes before finally landing in oakland. the plane refueled and it returned to sfo where the plane landed about 4:00. passengers were then finally able to get off that plane. >>> can you imagine you fly 11 hours, land at oakland, you're right there, you can see the terminal out the window and you have to sit there for two more hours? you think, why can't they just bring the steps out and let you walk out? >> i wish we had pictures. it was a giant plane. it was huge. it was not set up for oakland. >> a-380. >> the fog was definitely a problem and it will be again a problem tomorrow. most likely for sacramento international
