the freeways are good to sfo with no delays. >>> i'm jackie ward live at sfo where people so far seem to be handling these cancelhis latest emergency executive order intends to keep everyone safe. president trump ordered that all boeing "737 max" 8 and 9 planes be grounded as long as the cause of the fatal crash in ethiopia is still undetermined. airlines are expected to be shuffling passengers for days as they adhere to this latest executive order. and while still being investigated, lawmakers on capitol hill want to hear from boeing. passengers seem to be taking this all in stride despite some delays possibly lasting days. >> you know what, i'd rather be stuck here than to take off and then never land. >> reporter: sfo is reporting 35 flights canceled. flightaware says 20 are canceled at mineta, 11 at oakland. some are because of bad weather like the blizzard in denver but there are others scattered across the state and arizona so not all of these cancellations are related to the executive order and these boeing 737s. southwest, united and american are the three big airlines mostly

that plane arrived at sfo about two hours ago. you probably have been hearing a lot about the jetliners there. they have actually crashed overseas, toby tie's bob redell is live at sfo right now with what passengers said and the pressure of the faa is still resisting this morning. bob? >> reporter: marcus, to be frank with you, a couple passengers we spoke with frankly weren't even aware of the issue, the issue, of course, is the crash that took place this weekend and last fall in indonesia. the faa is still insisting that the max 8 and max 9 are safe to fly, in spite of the fact that the european union has grounded the marks 8 and 9, along with other countrieses. they're doing this until the investigators can figure out what wassed a max 8 to crash this past weekend. southwest and american airlines here, they fly the max 8, united max 9. all three airlines say they don't have concerns. too early to tell if something similar happened this weekend. >>> here's some of the passengers that just arrived this morning from hawaii. >> it

a crash occurring westbound 580 right at 680. >>> i am jackie ward live at sfo this morning. senator dianne feinstein wants the u. s. to join the list of companies temporarily granting a certain type of aircraft that has been evolved in two fatal crashes in the last six months. in a letter to the faa, she wrote she wants the aircraft to be temporary grounded until the cause of the crashes known and similar risks are known not to be present in the domestic flights. all 157 people on board the ethiopian airlines boeing 737 max 8s were killed when the plane nose-dived within minutes of taking off. this accident is eerily similar to when that happened in october when another boeing 737 max 8s operated by lion air, crashed off the coast of indonesia, killing all 189 of its passengers. the black boxes from the ethiopian crash work recovered yesterday and will hopefully help investigators answer questions. >> it will tell us a lot about how this airplane was flown in the last minutes and it will also tell us how the airplane was flown in previous flights. >> reporter: after the lion

( darya ) happening tomorrow... the alameda coliseum authority will vote on a lease agreement to allow the raiders to stay in oakland next season. the raiders new stadium in las vegas is set to open for the 20-20 season and the raiders have been looking for a place to play this season. one coliseum offical says the teams had reached an agreement late last year but it fell apart after the city sued the raiders for moving to vegas.
