and 26 miles per hour out of the north at sfo. wind gusts with 30 miles per hour at hayward and 29 for santa rosa. a red like warning for the entire bay area until 11:00 a.m. today due to the gusty offshore wind and relatively low humidity values. there is an extreme fire danger. we are looking at the winds easing for the lower elevations but still strong in the foothills and mountains. this for the entire bay area until 11:00 a.m. with possible downed trees and power lines. we have already seen downed trees with the gusty conditions . i will show you futurecast through today and tomorrow coming up in a few minutes. for now, let's go live to emily turner to look at the power shutoffs in the north bay. there are wind gusts at 26 miles per hour where you are out there. >> we are feeling it and so apparently are the signs in front of this community center. you can see how many have blown over. three out of the four of them in the last half-hour have been not over. the signs are the least of it. we're talking trees and branches and i

here's a live camera on sfo, we have fog and haze and an arrow that continues through thursday, still lingering haze in the atmosphere. here's the set up, this area of high pressure is beginning to back up. the area of low pressure out in the pacific. we had high hopes this would spring a significant rainfall, but the forecast models is backing off on the amounts and the chances for the weekend. there's still a chance by saturday. a cooler pattern and definitely clouds by friday and a chance of a shower or even a few sprinkles as we head into saturday. but, not so optimistic at least with rainfall potential with this guy. the bulk of the activity remains offshore and up to the north of the bay area and to the east. here's the forecast models, we take this into friday, maybe some drizzle, and this is saturday morning, 8:00, the best chance of shower activity will be up along the north coast. later in the day saturday, it could be down towards southern california. not to completely dry, but it's not the promising system we were expecting and hoping for in the bay area. >>> highs this af

san jose ride if you are headed out early is looking good north bound. 101 out of san jose towards sfo, along the peninsula as well. bay bridge, toll plaza off to a good start, a light commute out of the east bay as you work into the city, no delays across upper deck. a nice ride across golden gate bridge. we are not dealing with any fog. that's good news. there is road work north of here but it doesn't look like it is causing too many brake lights. if you are commuting out of the east bay via san mateo bridge to the peninsula, that will take 13 minutes but traffic is free flowing in both directions. i want to head to the north bay and give an overview of the closures that remain. parts of 29 between deer park and tubs line, 128 at petrified forest. between that and sonoma county line, that's where we have closures due to glass fire. heat, winds, red flag warnings will play a factor today as well. mary. >>> i am watching this very closely for you. it was nice to catch a little bit of a break over the last couple days with lighter winds. now winds will be picking up with low relative hu

current wind speeds are sustained at 12 in concorde, 14 for hayward and for sfo 22 miles per hour. the higher elevations looking at gus right now about 30 to 40 miles per hour out there. relative humidity values, we are down to the single digits into the teens from many locations it is just so dry. four percent in santa rosa and petaluma looking at just five percent in napa and seven percent for fairfield, oakland, hayward and livermore and for sanaz 89 percent. for these relative low humidity values, we are going to continue with that red flag warning that has been extended for the entire bay area, still looking at gusty conditions, especially up in the higher elevations but even with the winds easing for lower elevations because of how bone dry it is, we are going to continue with that red flag warning and the dangerous fire weather conditions. as we had to the day for tomorrow, that red flag warning will be in effect for the higher elevations until 5 pm tuesday, for the northbay mountains, east bay hills and diablo range. we are still looking at that extreme fire danger for the
