here's a live look at sfo this morning. aviation experts say travel is this extended independence day weekend is up, but many airline passengers have been dealing with those disruptions. as flightaware reports, seven cancellations, 21 delays so far at sfo for today. that's an increase from this time yesterday. san jose mineta has one cancellation and five delays. so far, no cancellations, but 11 delays over at the oakland airport, an estimated 50 million americans are traveling this 4th of july weekend. the tsa says it is averaging nearly 2.7 million screenings per day. there were a lot of disruptions last week as we remember severe weather in the northeast contributing to those delays and cancellations. but many airlines are also blaming the faa, saying that staffing shortages and outdated technology is also making the delays worse. 409 is the time, hopefully, the weather will cooperate with the people needing to come back to the bay area or leave the bay area. steve i don't it's kind of foggy. it's july. if we have any de

so out of sfo right now, we've got the clouds begin to roll in. move all the way the jury valleys overnight tonight, maybe all the way through the delta in the central valley to tomorrow. we wake of clouds early but then clearing to the coastline throughout the day should be beautiful. a 4th of july with temperatures on the warm side away from the beaches and then a much cooler pattern going to settle in. and i think round out the week, temperatures going, we're running about 5 to 15 degrees below the average. some of the similar what we had in much of june. all right. something to watch out for we've been seeing some high, very high tides. do the sun and the moon aligning in the gravitational pull, bringing some high tides are going to almost a 7 foot tide tomorrow night. so if you are parking your car and go into some fireworks displays, be aware that you're likely to see some flooding in some of the parking lot. some of the known areas that flood with a higher tides watch out for that. that's going to happen just around midnight tomorrow night.

been ten years, the tragedy at sfo. aseana flight crashed and 187 hurt.n passengers learn from that crash? >> we asked chris chmura that very question. he's with us live this morning. strictly for those passengers, what lessons stand out for you? >> there were some things that worked and some things that didn't work. let's start with the evacuation doors and the slides and this is an overhead photo. you can see some of them deployed here, but the national transportation safety board found two evacuation slides right here. they deployed inside the airplane and blocked the door from being able to be opened before the fire broke out. so what's the lesson there? when the flight attendants are doing their safety briefing, you should put your eyes on two exits close to you, then count the number of rows to get there in case it's dark, dusty or smoky when you're trying to get out of that airplane in a hurry. >> all right. what is something that actually worked? it's hard to say worked with this crash, but something we really learned from it. >> the seat bells mo
