. >> at sfo jade hernandez ktvu channel 2 news. >> a sad follow up to a story, a man shot while helping the homeless has died. the victim known by brother john was gunned down while they were handing out food. ktvu's paul chambers joins us with more on this development. >> reporter: good afternoon. they knew him as brother john but police identified him as paris powell. he was shot and killed in front of his wife and two children. police now need your help finding his killer. >> reporter: he reflects on the man he called brother john. brother john and his family would if he had him and the homeless. sadly i was the person to bring them the news about brother john's death. >> i was praying that he lived. because he was a good man. >> reporter: he was one of the last people to see brother john alive. just seconds before a man opened fire on the van they were in, he received a meal from them and now the man who did so much is dead, he wished it were him that was dead. >> i would rather see him with his wife and kids. i would take the bullet, without hesitation. >> reporter: now it's report

reporting live at sfo, jade hernandez, ktvu news. >>> and there was more trouble on the flight from london, hannah shiner was arrested when her plane arrived in philadelphia. she was arrested for threatening saying that she would blow up the plane. >>> an old pipe is creating new safety concerns in the neighborhood devastated in last year's disastrous explosion and fire. paul chambers joins us now from san bruno to tell us what's happening today. >> that pipe has been in since 1948 and it's been inactive since 1950. there's construction work out here going to be happening in about three hours. finally work to remove that 63- year-old pipe will begin. as the state's public utilities commission or p.u.c. continues to investigate, it's been recommended that the pipeline be dug out. federal investigators say the pipe tore open along one of its welded scene. after this pipe is removed it's reported it'll turn over to investigators for what reason is still unknown. the primary investigation of the the disaster's on the investigation of the explosion say they will release the report on the one ye

ktvu's jade hernandez is at sfo right now with a look and details on who was arrested and exactly whatd, jade. >> reporter: that's right, we have mug shots at this hour. we could tell you passengers were two hours late and they had quite a story to tell when they landed. two unruly men on board this american airlines flight bound for sfo from miami. one of those men witnesses say on board punched the pilot. you can see here jonathan and luis daniel baez were arrested after two men were down after police made arrests last night. the police report says the flight attendant noticed jonathan baez didn't have his seat belt on and tried to wake him but he was unresponsive. it seemed to the attendant the man was drunk or high on drugs, she then alerted the pilot. flight 1755 was taxing for take off when the situation escalated. the plane turned around and headed right back to the gate. witnesses say the two men who were asked to get off the plane by the airline were upset and managed to scuffle with the pilot. >> they were escorting the gentlemens off the plane as they got through the side do
