during its 30-day period it was reviewed and commented on by the small business commission and by the sfpd. it's in process by this commission as well and you'll hear about phthalater. some changes have been requested. the staff has not yet obtained a revised copy with those changes. so as soon as i do, i can indicate to the commission, although we might actually again do that through the ad hoc committee process so that you are up to date on any kind of amendments that might come forward. but in any case, a revised version will be presented as the public safety committee mid november and then there will be opportunity again to provide input to the supervisor. regarding halloween, which is almost upon us, similar to last year, and i said this to you a month ago when we met, we continue to work closely with sfpd at all levels, at the stations and at command staff, to assist in the creation of a near-complete list of the events happening over the halloween weekend. it's obviously a long weekend of friday, saturday and sunday events. in addition we will have the world series occurring, albeit

pd -- sfpd compared to violent and other crimes. but these things are very important to the residence in our neighborhood. the other thing that came to my attention yesterday while i was watching the entertainment commission meeting -- there was some legislation being worked on. there was a new police recommendation for all permits issued by the entertainment commissioned for the news and events with eight anticipated occupancy over 100 people. our nighttime entertainment industry is important to our economy. it is very present in south of market. one commissioner is specifically there to represent neighborhood interests, and he was not involved in the process of writing this legislation, only commissioner joseph and the president of the commission, who i believe represents sfpd. just observing the meeting, the commander who was presenting it seemed very dismissive of the importance of neighborhood input. i would hope that the sfpd values neighborhood input in the riding of legislation rather than just giving us peanuts at the end o
